Nope not kidding!!! anyone who is interested in any car is always welcome to come and inspect the car and any documentation that a car may or may not carry. Obviously my serious bidders and customers have received what they asked for.If you wouldn't send a deposit for a car that you were wanting to buy to a reputable liscensed dealer then obviously you would not be serious and that dealer would not waste thier time with you!!!

Even Steve got exactly what he requested whether i felt he was a buyer or just doing research he got is request answered within minutes!!! and his pictures and anyone that asked for documentation that was a bidder on the auction got it!!! So implying that because someone does not post all information or detailed pictures of the paperwork makes the car questionable gives people the wrong idea so if you are not a buyer and do not have interest why waste anyone's time ![]() Too many Guru's and scam artists collecting people's paperwork and #'s for the wrong reasons without hard proof of anything. If you want the paperwork or the info BUY THE CAR!!!!!!! Put your money where your mouth is. ![]() |

I am referring to what YOU said in your own previous reply: "I will not send them to anyone unless they have a deposit on the car as there are too many internet scams today" -That is what I was commenting about, nothing more.

I'm not trying to sound high and mighty but from my experience (about 30 years worth, with musclecars valued far higher than $76K) when someone refuses to send me copies of authenticating documents unless I send them money first -that's is a red flag for fraud. I don't know many people out there that would bother traveling to look at a car if the seller refused to send any basic documentation unless I sent him money first. If you sent the info to the interested bidders that requested it, that's fine. That is a far different position than what you just indicated in your above response. I hope whoever you sent the info to was able to make an educated decision based upon that material. And since the car sold for a price you deem reasonable, it looks like they made a good purchase. |

Well pics were posted of the paperwork and anyone that requested it received it.Sure when you do not know who you are dealing with not sending money is a great practice but when you are dealing with a reputable dealer who welcomes you to come and inspect your purchase a deposit is always required to hold any vehicle with an offer or almost anything for that matter.I have been in business almost 20 years now and have received deposits on every vehicle i have sold so i guess there are people that are willing to do it and we have made 100's of people happy buyers

I guess if you don't know anyone who would not put a deposit on a car to hold it before looking at it you have not looked that hard or checked lately hundred's of Muscle car buyers each day do it for a fact!!! |

There is big difference between requesting a deposit to hold a vehicle pending an inspection (a quite normal business practice) and demanding a deposit before you will send any documentation. How about clarifying once and for all, for everyone, which you do? And then we can close this thread.

No, we just thought we'd give you a chance to clarify the two different statements you made. But you're absolutely right, we got your answer loud and clear. By the way, I hope the buyer wasn't basing his purchase of the car on the "original window sticker" you posted the miniature copy of on the sale website.
