Re: what starter is correct for 70 deuce 4spd?
There is no difference for the deuce starter motor application.
The 1970 350-4bbl.,400-4bbl.,402-4bbl.,454-4bbl.engines all used the #418 starter w/Man Trans., & the #430 starter w/Auto Trans. The only difference between these two was the Nose housing material.#418 used steal,#430 used Aluminum.
