Automatic and a 4:10 was the set up for go fast at the drags with the '70 model. More consistant ET's too.

Just not as fun as the 4 speed which encouraged you to rev it to the limit - soon resulting in a CE block....

I was an ORIGINAL owner of just said combo 70 Z-28.....Turbo 400 on the column with 4:10's.....Stock long block with Edelbrock Tarantula, recurved dist, reworked 4555 Holley, headers, line lock, small slicks, resulted in 12:90's.................stock trans and convertor also
