Default 67 BB SS Camaro

I have ran across a 67 Camaro on a small podunk car lot here in small town Texas. This car is probably as un-original as you could make one. The # 1 problem is that it does not have a trim tag. The 2 rivets are still there but no tag. The car has new paint, bright yellow like something you would see on a VW or Nissan. Red stripes, yes that is right I said red. Red interior that is in very good shape. All of the gauges have been replaced with aftermarket gauges. It is trimmed out as a SS car but who knows. The only thing that really intrigued me was the fact that it has a Big Block in it even thou it has aftermarket intake & carb and distributor. The vin is 124377L122xxx Just coming out of the body shop from being painted very recently it is nice and straight. Without a trim tag is the car worth anything & how would you ever verify anything on it. The car lot wasn't open so I wasn't able to talk to the lot owner. I am going back and take some pics so please tell me the areas to take pics of to be able to tell anything about the car.
thanks Johnny

That VIN would be for a car built in November '66 and that is too early to be a legit factory big-block car.

Jon, like I said it is as unoriginal as it gets. I figure the reason the tag is gone is that the guy will try to claim it was abig block car. That is why i asked if the car was worth anything without the tag.

thanks Johnny
