[/ QUOTE ] The Ford Fairlane ('64, to be exact) car-launch above was probably for morale purposes but it's been done many times before. I have a late-50s photo from Hot Rod showing the Navy catapulting a late-40s Mopar convertible off of a carrier during a post-overhaul cruise. Let me see if I can find it in Photobucket. Looking.... Found them!  Adios Mopower!!! (They never do this to Chevys....)
