Another sad day here on Long Island, they flew in an early model F14-B Tomcat (without any fanfare at all)to Farmingdale Republic airport, pilots taxied it to the parking ramp and let it idle until it ran out of fuel. A few hours later, gutted out the engines, fogged the canopy and it is going to be the new monumnet over at Northrop Grumman a few miles away. That plane is truly the Musclecar of modern fighterplanes SULLY

The aircraft in the background is a A-20 Havoc

That's some cool stuff. A friend of mine at work builds and flies RC warbird replicas. I've reproduced some nose art for a couple of his works. I'll try to dig up some pix too.
