Another sad day here on Long Island, they flew in an early model F14-B Tomcat (without any fanfare at all)to Farmingdale Republic airport, pilots taxied it to the parking ramp and let it idle until it ran out of fuel. A few hours later, gutted out the engines, fogged the canopy and it is going to be the new monumnet over at Northrop Grumman a few miles away. That plane is truly the Musclecar of modern fighterplanes SULLY
