What if you submerge the whole thing in rusty water?

Fill it up with Coke. Let it sit for a couple of days. The phosphoric acid in Coke can dissovle human teeth.
Warning: it might turn it more brown than yellow.

Thanks for the washer bottle discussion...Got me thinking again..Were the factory bottles ever that white? I replaced my old one due to the yellow tint and used a GM white bottle...I'm starting to like the yellow tint more and more..I know the yellow tinted one was correct but was it aged or did it just "come that way"...???

James... I have an honest question and do not intend to be malicious in any way.

The photo you posted a picture of is a low mile LT1 block pulled from a wrecked '70 Z (If I'm not mistaken). What evidence do you have that enables you to conclude the DZ302 you restored from your Z28 was painted in the similar fashion to the LT1. I am not saying the motors were or were not painted in the same exact fashion, I do not know which is why I am asking.

With all of the surviving '69 Z28's around (my old car, KP's old 22k original mile car, the burgundy car I posted photos of a year or so back) why did you chose to replicate the paint off of an LT1 instead of a 302? Can you lead us to the source that explains the similarities?

Like I said before, I hope this is not rude because that is not my intent. I very much commend you on your efforts -- have done so in the past and will continue to do so. Thanks.

-Dan

No offense taken... The photo of Pascoe's 18k mile car were not very noticeable as to how the exhaust ports were taped although if you look very closely you can see the squares... I used the photo of the LT1 (I thought was from a Vette, but could be mistaken myself) because it was clearer and taken closer... the photo of the taped line on the waterpump is from Pascoe's car... I will also admit I used WAY too much paint... especially on the back of the block and the bottom of the pan... LOL

Check out the middle exhaust port...
