Default LS7 question

A question please, does anyone know for sure if LS7 crate engines ever came with aluminum heads. We bought dozens of them in the 80's for SG and SC use, from Scoggin/Dickey but none of these had aluminum heads nor an intake. All had pistons with same compression distances, OC heads but wouldn't quite make 12-1 compression. And the rest, pretty much basic HP stuff from Chevrolet.

I had to re-register since my email had changed.

Bought one in the early 80's from Shepard Chevrolet. Same deal - cast iron OC heads, ZL-1 cam (didn't humor mufflers too much), no carb, intake or dist.

I'm not sure, I know what we gave for those way back when but today, apparently not worth this much!

2 cents...we had a bunch show up from GM in the Seattle area mid 80's then they dried up fast, LS-6 was 4500.00 LS-7 was 5500.00 and they had factory Alum intakes on them...not sure where they came from but there was bunch of them the dealers suddenly had...most went into boats at the time.

Bud.
