Yep. I almost bought that one. One issue, the vin was cut out with the dash when it was made into a racecar, and subsequently it was lost. So, no vin.

I wonder if there is somewhere to get a VIN plate made. Here's a REAL car, just missing the vin plate. That's why I did not touch it was well.

http://s81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...urrent=S10.jpg All I was looking for was an x11 coupe like I had for 16 years.I may just get the restoration started and sell it to get a standard camaro.Or is this car's value gone because the original vin is gone? |

Once a Z-28, always a Z-28. You could go to the local state police (in most states, check yours) and have them reissue a new VIn, however, it will not be a chevrolet 124379 vin.
If someone out there still certifies Z's then with that paperwork you might be ok? Of course, it is still a vintage Z-28 made in to a 1/4mle Racecar, and you can always restore it to those specs. Rich

if you take the heaterbox off the vin should be there on the firewall and if you take off the cowl below the windsheild the vin should be stamped on the passenger side on top
