I'd have to agree w/ the above comments. I love the 3310's. I used to work auto retail in St. Paul and sold a bunch of them in the late '80s-early '90's. If there was ever a problem w/ a beginner install I could typically tweak it in the parking lot within minutes.
Very forgiving and easily tuneable. I'd like to try one of the newer Demon versions when I get around to my '72.

I use all Holleys,I use a couple of different carb rebuilders that make serious performance carbs.I just had Performance Racing Components build a 750 for my 67 Ss Chevelle and man does it work great,I also use Davinci Carbs also.Neither are cheap but you get good products that work. The 750 I just had worked on now produces 820 cfm and makes the old Chevelle SCREAM!Although I do have a Thermoquad on a little 340 Mopar that Kicks AZZ!

How about an edelbrock q-jet? Anyone try one? Like or dislike them?

I have some friends that run edelbrocks on there street rods, some like them and some don't.The newer ones I understand are adjustable to where the older ones are not. Most people that run them say that the performance is just not ther like a Holley. The edelbrocks are pretty dependable carbs.A good holley with 4 corner idle circuits and a little tweaking is the best in my opinion. But you are doing the right thing by getting opinions from others before investing the $$$.
