| eBay 65/66 396 "962" block w/ undecked pad?

Cast date would be Ok as replacement block for Z16 or other '65. . What's anyone think of this deck surface? . ~ Pete http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-1966...1QQcmdZViewItem

This block appears to have been surfaced on a Storm Vulcan blockmaster surfacer. All blocks I have seen have been broached. |

This block has definitely been decked! Note the circular patterns. The original broaching marks were linear. Stece

Way too late for a Z16 or any 1965 and this is the second design 962 that lacks the vertical reinforcement ribs at the front and back of the block above the timing cover and bellhousing flange. Never decked? Dave |
