![]() [/ QUOTE ] William, Any idea why Chevy discontinued the N/66 option at the end of 1968? Nove & Chevelle carried on with these wheels, so why delete them. So many other options were carried over into 1969, so what gives? [/ QUOTE ] Just my opinion but I'm guessing manufacturing capacity. Those wheels were standard on Chevelle SS and they were selling all they could build. Every system has constraints and they probably needed all the N66 wheel production to support Chevelle sales. There are other examples of Chevy production capacity limitations-1967 327 Corvettes with 427 hoods, 1968 Chevelles with Buick interiors, certain 1967 Camaros being built with interiors other than the one they were ordered with, 1969 COPO BE axles. Also the 1969 Chassis Service Manual lists the LT1 engine, never offered due to Z/28 sales taking off.

You're saying that the LT-1 engine was destined for the 69 Camaro production year? First I've ever heard of this William. Is this verified? I'm not doubting you, just caught a little off center on that one. ![]() Steve

Nope, Corvette I believe. Did not have enough intake manifold capacity.
