How much time and money do you suppose a police department should spend on a case where at best, the crime commited would have given the person who did this a slap on the wrist by some liberal judge? I will say this - the police did spend some time to investigating this and they have more information than what has been made public. Truth is, they are time and budget constrained and have to pick their battles accordingly.

According to your logic we should stop arresting criminals because the liberal judges will set them free anyway. If police do not have the time or money to deal with this petty stuff then we can expect serial numbers to desirable Canadian documented cars to mysteriously reappear on the DMV database.
