Yes, there's sales tax here in Ontario....excellent point! . I think you have to state the paid value when obtaining the 'lost' title also claim to have the car too....not just wish you did?? .

I don't think we ever made things public about the outcome of this thread. Basically, the guy who had his name on the ownerships of the 5 ZL1 Camaros was questioned by the police. He told them that he was given money by someone to go into the licence bureau (DMV) and put these cars in his name.
Once he left the licence bureau, someone had him sign over the ownership papers and walked off with them. The individual then refused to reveal to the police who the person was that now has the signed off Ownerships (Titles). Police would not persue the case any further unless the cars are found. Even though it is possible for that person to build, register and sell these vehicles, the incident has been registered with law enforcement should they ever mysteriously re-appear. ![]()
