GM brass says no way. They'll build the Camaro but the TransAm is not going to happen. That was a quote from the GM chairman when interviewed outside the federal bankruptcy court.

I would like to see them ramp-up the production time frame of the Camaro a bit. Why lose market share to Chrysler if they do, in fact, get the Challenger into production in '07?

At least if they were to go belly up, they could go out with a bang.
