God this is really sad news.
Since he retired a few years ago from Glaucoma,he balloned up to 300lbs.,and was just now working at slimming down when the stroke occured at age 45.. He really was a good athlete & person.

Played for Triton College in River Grove Illinois, the Baseball field there is named Kirby Puckett field.
