Oh and Rainer. What makes this whole thing a "Saga"? Since I don't know you I don't feel that I owe you any explanation for anything.

[/ QUOTE ]

Frank - I didn't expect to rub anyone the wrong way with my choice of words, much less you. A saga is a story or account - nothing more. There have been lots of people interested in this "story" and hearing where this car ends up. That's a major reason why we're on the board - to hear car stories. I admit I took a personal interest in the sale of your car, more from a human interest perspective than anything else. I appreciated reading you post how difficult the decision to sell had been, and how you felt a "3 out of 10" after the sale. I understood that the car was going to be tucked away, never to return to SCR again. The fact that a dealer has it struck me by surprise. You're right - you don't owe me or anyone an explanation. It appears that I've upset you somehow by being interested in your perspective. For that I apologize. I wish you happiness as you move forward.

Good response, Rainer. I've heard stories about that particular dealer having a collector/client/friend that's some sorta VIP with WalMart and is very private about his stash of cars. When I saw that's who bought Frank's car...I presumed the Deuce was headed to the confines of the WalMart guy's collection [and probably presold]. If my hunch is right...I wonder if we'll soon see a "sold" sign on the dealer's web page?

Speaking of dealers and such...does anyone know of, or had dealings with this outfit? Looks like a neat, clean and roomy operation. click here

Jen Jacs is in my town. From what I understand the Owner has always been into chevy's and had a very successful cabinet company he sold to finance this restoration company. I have seen the Owner at a few car shows with different Camaros on display. One hugger orange, convertible bbc with air and bunch of options caught my attention. I would agree that it looks like they do quality work.

Rainer. I am sorry for being short but I am just sick of this whole subject thats all. I have been taking heat for this for two weeks and frankly, I am not gonna take it anymore.

No need to apologize. I was the one that was out of line. Peace.

Oh and as for the buyers. Charlie & Charles are class acts in my opinion. Who ever ends up buying this car eventually from these guys will get first class treatment. I hope they break the bank with it.

Hello everyone, My name is Charles Lumpkin and I own C&S Classic Cars. Some of the members here know who I am. I have been around and restored cars my whole life, and enjoy them very much. I purchased this car from Frank, because I wanted one. I want to enjoy it for a few months. Get it back in the condition, that I want, and show here and there. I have a contract with Deals on wheels, and they pulled it from my site automatically. It is not for sale right now, but it will be when I get it ready. I am not a big dealer, I have a restoration shop, and a showroom that holds about ten cars. I like rare high quality cars, just like you guys. Someone made a comment about the 67 Pacecar, it was restored modified back in the 80's, buy the second owner, when these cars wasn't worth so much. I have just made it more modern. I mean no offense buy this, but Frank and I had a good business deal, and some of you guys need to find something better to do, than talk about someone you never have meet. Everyone should just have fun with the car hobby!!!! Thanks, Charles.
