I have pics of a stage one car whooping us at the track back about 82??, ran the mo fo twice and both times the pass would look over laugh at us and wave good-bye..I was banging gears and he would make a move on us at the 60 foot and leave like we were parked...

I was waiting for someone to chime in; Stage Ones also had chrome valve cover stalks to hold the plug wires and the air cleaner sticker also had the Stage One Identification. I don't know the car, just thought it was funny that they made a big deal about a Stage One "X" and the subject car appears to be a non Stage One.

Not sure, but I thought that none of the Sklark/GS/GSX Cars came with a 12 bolt rear . . . except for a few Skylarks/GSs that were built in Canada.

That was a non Stage I car. No chrome valve covers is the dead give away. All GS cars for the U.S. were 10 bolt rear ends. Some Canadian cars came with the 12 bolt.
