[ QUOTE ]
Hi: in 1978 I looked at buying that LS6 Silver Chevelle, instead I purchased a 1969 gold Copo Camaro. These 2 cars raced at Jane and Finch (Toronto). I was told that the Camaro lost because the Chevelle was running slicks.

This is true. The car ran 9.5" bias ply slicks, ladder bars and headers back then from what I can gather. Sounds like an excuse as to the reason the Camaro lost. I know it was a LONG time ago but you wouldn't happen to remember anything else of significance about the Chevelle would you? Anything that could help build more history would be appreciated.

Kevin,

I like how you are trying to document as much history as possible about the car. That's the secret to developing pedigree. To me, it is what makes a car more desireable and legit.
