Without doubt, I'd go with the L-88. An LS-6 is pretty stout in it's own right but in the end, it was still designed as a heavy, cast iron headed street motor. On the other hand, an L-88 is a purebred race motor that will literally try to tear your head off. You can also never go wrong by removing 75 LBS from the nose of your car with the aluminum heads. Faster and lighter, the choice is obvious.
