I have a chevy 427 aluminum engine, casting # 3940652, no serial # found, but does have a # 66 stamped on front passenger side down low by oil pan. How many of these were produced and what is the value, thanks

They made about 600 ZL-1 blocks. What kind of condition is it in?

And does anyone know when Yenko first cast his block w/ the 'Yenko' in the casting....before or after GM made the Winters ones available? ~ Pete

I thought it was later too but think I read somewhere once that it was before? . Also last weeks posting of this months ZL1 feature car that has a 'Yenko' one in it sounds like he may have put it in soon after he got it when he set the orig motor aside? ~ Pete

So thar means there were originaly 1,492 aluminum 427 blocks produced in 1969? Just curious
