The Tremecs found in production cars seem to be hit & miss...the T56 in the LS1 Camaros is a good example...it was pretty common to hear of new cars having to have immediate tranny work/replacement. A guy here in town has had 3 SS Camaros, and special ordered the last one...he drove right after they rolled it off the truck and the thing wouldn't go into reverse and would jump out of a couple of the forward gears...he ended up taking it anyway, and thrashed the crap out of it knowing they were gonna replace it anyway.
