I used the Keisler TK500 kit in my 67 plain Jane coupe behind a GM 350HO crate motor and absolutely love it. I didn't have to cut up the console and from inside the cockpit you'd think I was running an old school 4-speed.

Well put.
Looks like the TKO 600 gets the thumbs up.
I'm about to do some homework.
I appreciate your input very much. Thank you.

Jeff..Thanks for the input. That's my biggest concern right now. Keeping the original floor together.
Thank you for your input.
I envy your rides. Sweeeet.

Tremec and Keisler are both in the Knoxville, TN area and Keisler puts together kits that include everything you need including the Tremec tranny of your choice to install a 5 or 6 speed in your Camaro. They even modify the tranny to use a speedo cable.

Go to the discussion forums at www.lateral-g.net or www.pro-touring.com. There are plenty of guys using overdrive transmissions there and have plenty of opinions. There are now T56's that handle over 1000 hp.

I'm running the TKO 500 in my 71 RS. Best money I've spent. Bought mine from dark Horses in Washington state for $1750 shipped with the speedo adapter. Keisler kit was in the 2600 range w/ everthing and 8 weeks behind. Not a big deal to make a crossmember had mine done in 4-5 hrs but did it on the lift. Would reccomend it to anyone.
