Confusing sure but at least it's in the Vin unlike the pre '72 GM stuff. .

Sure, nothing secret...I'm looking at a 66 Comet Caliente convert for my brother-in-law and just wanted to see what it originally was. Looks like the only thing non-original is the 'resale red' paint job
