Jerry MacNeish, Great work, fast turnaround, fair price.

[/ QUOTE ]

What is considered a fair price???

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it was $115.00, but that was at least a year ago. He generally runs an ad in Hemmings with the current price and what he does.

I bought a restored distributor from Dotterer. I ended up having to send it to Macneish to replace the points, plates, springs etc. Maybe Dotterer's improved, but that was my experience back then.

I found Jerry's ad and he is now at $125 for the distributor blueprinting and restoration. I think if you need a new point kit it will be a little extra. There are photos on his web site that show everything Jerry does in detail including the Sun machine. There are photos of distributors
on the site and you can see the calibration certificate you get with the job which shows data about how the distributor is set up, curve, etc.

Jerry's site is: http://www.z28camaro.com/ To see the distributor work go to Restoration services, then to distributors. 410-781-0418.

Thanks Bill,
the reason I asked is because the ad says $125 but before I found the ad I called and the guy on the phone said $175.

Jeff wants $250

theres not a lot to a distributor and in my personal opinion some guys are over priced a little bit.
