Didn't Grandpa build the casket-rod to race and win back the family car after Hermie lost it dragging for pinks....it's been a few years? . Where these both Barris cars and do they still exist? . Thanks for the laughs Grandpa. ~ Pete

Al Lewis was actually 95 when he passed away, not 82. What a classic tv show, that is still popular today.

Hermie and Grandpa were together on Car 54 too. . I never watched this as much but remember it and Hermie without makeup. . Herman's been dead a few years already....I recall seeing him appear as a Judge in some show 10 years or so ago....Cousin Vinny maybe? . Man I love those Firestone slicks on the casket-rod! ~ Pete

It seems that Grandpa may have been an old nut. There is a popular radio show in Chicago called Mancow's Morning Madhouse where Grandpa would make frequent appearences. He would frequently talk of drugs, sex with young grils, etc. I believe that he was even a regular at the Indiana Ponderosa Sun Club's "Nude Stock." He was definitely quite a "character!"
