First thing....whatever you do or whoever you use to get it done, make sure you practice techniques in an unseen area or scavenge an excess piece to practice matching colors etc. without heading to the trouble spot first! . Colors can change greatly after drying so the practice piece needs a chance to change if it's going to then alter your process and/or materials as req'd. . That said, there's a process where you make a mold piece of the grain pattern from a good area then apply this mold to the wet repair area allowing it to take on the grain pattern. . As long as the color is right the results can be unbelievable! ~ Pete
