I think that's a Pontiac prefix,as they did use that block too.
It would decode as: K=McKinnon Industries engine plant 04=April 24=day CBC=1972 Firebird code N=Norwood assembly plant 600758=758th unit produced at Norwood,they started at 600001. I'm not up on the Pontiacs much. What's the complete block casting date on the back lip? I realize this may not be correct as a 1972 Firebird used a 250 CID V6 for CBC callout. Are you certain about the CBC prefix? |
