Looks like Mulsanne Blue was an option all right.

Ok I stand corrected but it is also shown on other brochures as medium blue. And my post on code 28 was meant for the Camaro in question. Next time I'll elborate to the minute degree.

Point is the car is wrong (and not just the paint)and in my opinion not worth the asking price.

I can only remember, and I remember it vividly, seeing one 70 fathom blue camaro. This was in about 71 72. It was a straight bumper Z28 with crager mags. L60s on the back. Also had a tall spoiler which I couldn't understand at the time. So maybe it was a copo spoiler car too. It was stunning with the white stripes and cragers. Only one I can remember that way. What was the deal on the color? Special order on the camaro or a time line issue?

Did anybody address the issue about this Camaro NOT having the FACTORY INSTALLED (no option involved) Rear Bumper Guards and/or mounting holes in lower valance. I agree with Rick H in that the asking/selling price was TOO high given ALL the wrong and /or missing items.
Did WE also see the trim tag with either code 26 26 or a
- - for special paint ?????
I find it amusing if not entertaining that this past year or two has brought all this new found 1970 Camaro discussion at Yenko.net. In the "old" days Phil Borris's COPO was just about the only 2nd Gen mentioned here and maybe the LV's D.H. 70 car......

Chuck,
For some reason nobody seems to care that there are a lot of things missing or wrong with the car. More concerned with getting the shade of blue correctly identified.

The auction states the car is coded Cortez Silver (14) so I would assume that he got that off the trim tag. A posted trim tag would have helped.

Hopefully his posted VIN on the tranny (10N5511818) is a typo.

A set of correct tower clamps would have helped a little bit. A least they're not blue.

Way too much money.

Rick H.

P.S. I agree, a lot of these cars popping up lately.

I put this here because the car is for sale, but what I want to know is the color..Is this Astro Blue? Or just a repaint thats not a GM color. I like this shade of Blue whatever it is.

Rick, I think all the original poster wanted to know was the color on the car, nothing else...

Oh well, to each his own...
