![]() 69L78, 1968 & 1969(except VERY late cars) did not have a white lettered tire available. 1970 thru '72 used them. However the tires you picture are not the ones used on Corvettes. For goodyear tires, they were marked Wide Tread F 70 15 Goodyear in white letters. I suspect the tires you show are either '69 Z28 or COPO camaro.

I just talked with Kelsey Tire and they told me they were originally used on B body cars the first half of 69, on GM mid size cars like the 71 Chevelle SS, and for a warranty replacement for the 68-72 Corvette because they were more readily available, and also he did suspect that they were used for a replacement warranty on the Z/28, because they were more readily available than the E70-15. my brother's '69 w-31 had white letter goodyears when new,but were F70-14's,not 15's.

I've had good luck with Kelsey, but I wouldn't use them as my application guide......
