Was digging through some junk today and found this... pretty cool ad.

I hope the new owner takes it back to the appearance of its glory days...

AD---One of the commentators-Steve M. stated that one of the big 3 , maybe Chrysler, had actually put together a special car to try and take the ALLEN LS-6 out---Like a hired gun--I thought that was pretty ..

I'm thinking it was one of the winged cars...the race never happened. There's a post on here somewhere about that...I'll see if I can find it.

Chrysler built two winged cheater cars to beat the allen car and they still lost.

Joe,

That's a cool Vitar Ad. I've seen it in a real small version in the back of SS&DI, but not as a full page ad. I would like a nice copy if you can help me out. Have plenty to trade also.

Have to agree Ray Allen looked pretty excited but not as excited as the guy that sold it. IMO, the car sold on 75% Race history and 25% because it was an LS6 Convertitble. Can't beat the paper work either. Factory buildsheet and original NJ Title in Truppi-Kling Competition's name.

The decals definately were a smart move on sellers part. Although they didn't have the time to do it in full race trim mechanically, I believe the car got all the money last night.

I know someone in NJ who has all the "Day 2" Race Parts to make the car Race Ready, and you don't have to seach ebay for 3 years to find them.

You are dead on Kevin...I don't think this sale meant much for the LS 6 convertibles out there...in fact I was surprised at the outcome of that red one...seemed like a bargain to me.
