They need to make the grill opening wider and lessen the front V effect. The roof line looks great. Charley. can i come out of the corner yet?

I just cant fugure it!
![]() You'd think GM would be listening to the chatter in the websites like this and get a clue as to get there feet out of the mud and get on it! I have been watching FIRD and Dudge get great results in the design appearances, and wonder just who is it that is not understanding all of this over there at GM! ![]() Has there ever been any GM corporate people here cruising the site offering answers to us all as to why they are just soooo behind in ALL of this??? If they would listen to us all and take the steps we suggest, then we wouldnt be hammering them in print so often... My "HeartBeat" has faded in the past 20 years on a majority of the current releases given... One day maybe we will get back what we all desire from them! ![]()

I think R&T jumped the gun, as the text in the original link said something to the effect of "the 2009 Camaro Concept seen recently at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show". Someone got their a$$ chewed I'm sure, and the page is gone
BUT; Someone else grabbed it, and now it's here: mms://c9o.earthcache.net/woc-01.medi..._camaro_hi.wmv |

For being a new car it looks cool. I think the problem is that because of the "Camaro" name everyone is expecting to see a retro car to the first gens. I guess that GM should have followed suit with Fords & Dodges retro throwback. I personally think that the Challenger blows away the Mustang as far as the cool factor goes.

Okay so the Camaro concept doesn't look like a true "retro" car........so what. Did the 4th generation Camaro look at all like a 1969 Camaro? No but we all embraced that car and mourned it's passing. Personally, if they build this concept as shown I'll be the first in line because I can see the styling cues from othe Camaros. I'd much rather have a car produced that shares some of the heritage of it's past without copying it to a tee.
Who can't see the similarity in the grille to a 1969? Or the trim in front of the rear wheels, similar to the 1969? The cowl induction hood or even the similarity in the tail lights to a 1968 RS? I for one like the concept and, while it doesn't look as much like a 1969 Camaro as some would have hoped, I applaud GM for proposing a beautiful car that incorporates styling cues from the past with all of the latest performance enhancements. |

I'm gonna voice my opinion also. I hate it. Looks too much like a Chrysler Crossfire to me. I would buy a new Mustang GT or the new Challenger (concept?) before I would buy this.
