I watched a little of the BJ auctions ( FL ) today on Speed.
You know, it seems that the "hosts" seem to know a whole lot
more about European cars than American Muscle cars. What
strikes me as odd here is that 95% of the cars accross the
block are American Muscle cars - no. So why don't they get
with the program and get hosts who know more about our
cars?

Steve

I think that's why they brought Keith Martin in but he obviously isn't getting any help.Alan DeCadanet know his "Lucas electrical" British cars but when it comes to American Muscle, all he can add to the conversation is "lump" when he's referring to a ZL-1 or a Hemi car.

I'm guessing Brock works for the no-host bar...

Brits term for all engines is a lump....kind of a windscreen, nearside, bonnett thing? . And Lucas electrical systems....the real reason Brits like warm beer? ~ Pete

Lucas is reffered to in England as the "Prince of Darkness".
The reason why they don't make computers in England is that they have not yet figured out how to get them to leak oil.

With 900 cars going over the block and each car representing a variant of what the manufacture produced and then the modified cars it would be impossible for a commentator to accurately describe every car. In most cases they are commenting from a cheat sheet and its a case of GIGO. Brock's comment on whether a Z28 had a powerglide was rediculous. Allan DeCadanet should stick with the Jags only.
He is very critical of the restorations and under those lights it is hard to see what the defects are in a car and it makes perfect cars look bad. It is usually all about color. Decadanet often makes comments about panel fit. He has obviouly never restored a car, some panels were never made to fit- period. The whole BJ thing is entertaiment and when has entertainment tried to research the complete truth.
I will be there Wed to Sunday to be entertained. For buying and selling cars I like to do that face to face with the buyer or seller.

And entertainment it is...
I too look forward to being entertained in a little over 2 weeks.

Do we have a roll-call going yet?
