Ed,

I've heard numbers as high as 2-300. The 18-25 number is one of those "I saw it in print so it must be true " stories.

Any LS6 experts care to chime in?

I'm really curious if anyone else has seen or even heard of another Canadian delivered LS6 convertible, they are so easy to document. Mine was delivered new in Manitoba and left the province for Alberta in 1978.

I thought only 18 LS6 Converts. were made.... I could swear I've seen a good 20-30+ come up for sale in the past 10 years is it just me?

[/ QUOTE ]

For a long time the general consensous was 18-20 cars but over the last few years more than 30 have been documented. If you talk to the researchers, they pretty much believe the real numbers to be in the 200+ range. Based on what has surfaced just in the last year or so, I would have to say those are likely very accurate figures.

CamarosRus
There were more then 17 of these assembled originally.I believe I have found 30,and are probably more out there if I gave it my full attention.
This is a 1st week of May assembled Chevelle,so that drivers side A.I.R. Ex. tube is the correct design for it's time period.
The earlier production Chevelles, received the "hockeystick" design you speak of,as well as the GH ink stamping on the diverter valve, later built got the GH decal.

If John puts a GH decal on,and loses that Drivers side 1967-69 production #879 Ex. Manifold, for the proper 1970 production,he might just get that BIN price..A Delco Energizer R-79W Side Terminal Battery would be the icing on this cake.
That being said.

Very smart move on the sellers part and a lesson to be learned. Ebay is a fantastic marketing and advertising medium. The seller puts his car at an unrealistic price, lots of car folks talk about it all over the web and the car gets a lot of exposure. The Ebay ad has over 26 thousand hits!! That is one hell of alot of exposure! When it goes up for sale at auction it will hopefully have attracted the attention of some serious buyers through the Ebay marketing!

Cost of Ebay ad: $40

Value of 26,ooo hits : Priceless!!!

No it has not.
A bidder did Bid 650K,but his son contacted the seller to say he wishes to remove his Fathers Bid.
The seller,John, has been very honest listing all the questions asked by the bidders in his auction summary.
He was waiting for the bidder to retract his own bid,but the Father didn't understand how and the son didn't know his Fathers password in time.
Suffice it to say,the auction ended showing his bid still in place. He has notified Ebay and it will not consider it as a sold vehicle.
John wants the Chevelle to go to someone who wants it,so he will not pursue any legal action against anyone.
He had a contract in place to sell it at the Russo/Steele Auto Auction Jan. 20-22 anyway if it did not sell on Ebay,so John is now making plans to continue with his obligation and take it to Russo/Steele.
It will be auctioned off around 6PM on Friday Jan. 20th.
