Charley if you find a pair we can sell those and the GM Drip Rails they mount to that I have as a set. Wonder what we could get for something like that!!!

If I find a pair in my barn does someone else want to pay 1800.00 ? [/ QUOTE ] Charley: First, you are assuming, I guess, that I actually got $1800 for them. Maybe I did and maybe not. The buyer contacted me privately so I will respect his privacy. Secondly, if you have a set in the barn (do you really mean "barn" or are you talking about that beautiful show room?) that are as nice as these, I can tell you the market will probably bear $1800. The last pair of truly NICE ones that were on ebay got over $1500 when they mysteriously were pulled. That tells me someone contacted the seller and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. As long as the prices on the high dollar trailer queens keep going up, so will the prices on early NOS parts like this. Is it ridiculous? No doubt. Do I feel guilty? Almost, but not quite. Hey, oil may crash, housing may crash, and the muscle car market may go the way of the Ferrari market in the mid 80's. I decided to take the money while is was available. Funny thing is my wife bought a Krugerrand about the same time as I bought these weatherstrips. She paid $480. I paid about $25 bucks. She recently decided to dump some gold, and got $505 for the Krugerrand. Bet none of the 70's financial gurus told us to invest in GM weatherstrips. Pretty funny, huh? Who knew. Lynn |

OK, for you smart alecs that thought I was high on my NOS roof rail weatherstrips, check this out:
[url=http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4598623 262&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT] Sorry, you will have to copy and paste, can't get the link to work. Guess I left a little on the table. Still, no regrets as I know they went to a good home (car), and I would still rather sell stuff like that on this board. Still waiting to see if a pair of these goes for more than my car cost new. Lynn |

I have not seen a pair of the new repro 68-69 Camaro Latex roof rail w/strips. However, I have seen quite a few 68-69 NOS w/strips on ebay lately which may be an indication that the new repros are not too bad.

I bought a pair of door w/s from HBC. Not as soft and pliable as my original passenger side roof rail w/s, but not bad. Doesn't wrinkle the same when you push it. Haven't installed them, yet.
