Interesting find and a perfect example of what happens. . This thread could unfold into an even more interesting conclusion....please do post what you find. . I wonder if a re-Vin car exists now and if so, if it's been sold and what the owner knows? . If you bought this tagless hulk now, would you be the legal owner of this Vin and the tags if tracked down? ~ Pete

I have asked a few law enforcement people about who would own the tags, for a similar situation.
All of them said the same thing. The tags, if located, would be returned to the owner of the body that has the matching hidden VINs. This was a few years ago. I don't know if it still would be true or not. ![]() Eric |
