So was it a real race car with all the correct racing equipment or was it a street crusier?
There was one like you describe with Eckler bodywork, that rolled at Hallett back in the early '80's. Pantera

Car was race ready & teched by Scca, Testing on Road course at Indy, handled Excellant Clocked off the Lf hairpin turn onto the Straight away thru the Traps @ 168.613 M.P.H. Only missing Comp #'s

Car suspension was set up similar to John Greenwoods , I later found out, coil overs, mod rear sprng, tras axle & spring 's, extra long bolts & extra Snubbers.

Pantera, was the car a roadster w/ Hard top , Who owned it & what was the track? Thanks to all of you in helping with this near impossible Quest. Impossible only takes longer !

The car was a total at Hallett back in '79 or 80. It was not the car you are looking for. That one was a regular race car and could not have been driven on the street.
