I checked the picture I took of the casting numbers but it turned out to be too blurry. I am at school right now and cant get to it to look at the numbers. Attached is a picture of the bellhousing.

Andy,
Make sure the front bearing retainer on the transmission seats securely into the large alignment hole in the bellhousing. I seem to remember the truck bellhousings have a larger hole. If it does not, the transmission will not be properly aligned with the crank centerline when installed. This will cause problems with the clutch and possibly damage the internal gears. I think the car 11" bells are #421/444/621/& 797. Check with CRASH, he should be able to help you. Hope this info helps. Eric

444, 621, and 697 will all fit 11" clutches... 421 is a 1963 only 10 1/2" with the small front bearing retainer... Hope this helps... Crash
