Did all 68 Nova L78 396's come with 4 speeds?

[/ QUOTE ]

You asked about L78s but do not forget you could get a 396 350HP (L34) with a th400 in 1968.

There were a total of 98 TH400's in 1968. Minus the 50 Fred Gibb ordered cars leaves 48 L34 cars in 1968.

Couldn't you get a turbo 400 in a 67 or 68 375 horse camaro or big car? How about a vette? When did the 400 actually come out?

The first year for the 400 behind a solid lifter Big Block Vett was 69. Although Zora was photographed testing a 68 Vette prototype Z-L1 white convertable with an M40. With slicks I belive it was running low 10's-high 11's.

(I wanted to add that you could get the 400 in a 68 Vett up to 400 horse but not in a solid lifter big block)

You could get an automatic in a 1967 Vette 427/400 hp but not in the 435 hp 427. The 400 hp got hydralic lifters and 435 hp cars solid lifters.
