[ QUOTE ]
Is there anything specific I should be looking for if it is a Nickey. [/ QUOTE ] Without some original documentation, it will be next to impossible to prove it is a real Nickey 427 Camaro. If properly documented, it would be worth north of $200K. Without, maybe $20K - $30K if it is really nice. Welcome to the site and let's see some pics. |

There are no numbers to check. No one documented these cars when they were built. No special tags, no special vin??
Sounds like a lot of clones waiting to happen. I will shoot over and get some pics tomorrow and you guys can determine. Does anyone even know how many were made. |

Welcome to the site. Any history showing it as a Nickey in years past would be great to have with the car. I would talk to the guy you got it from and see if he has any old pics you can copy. Also ask him if he could write you a letter detailing the history that he remembers about the car. If he will write the letter pay for him to have it notarized. Does he remember where he got it ? You have a bunch of us drooling on our monitors waiting for pics. As for production I bet the # is very low.

Paperwork and owners history are the Key for 68's be it from Nickey/DANA/Harrell/Yenko
Any old Invoices that show the 427 swap would be the goldmine as long as the invoices showed it was for the car you picked up. Is it a LA or NOR car? Whats the VIN and Cowl Tag info?

I am heading back to talk to the previous owner tomorrow and get some more info and possible dig up some paperwork. I will drop back tomorrow night with pics and the info. I have been trying to get some info on these cars. Very scarce stuff. Is is safe to say there are alot less of these then Yenkos as I can find much more info on the Yenkos.
