Man that sure looks like a cracked housing from someone prying on it for belt adjustment. Almost $1000, that is insane!

I have the exact same date for my deuce and it has the same casting around the numbers. I tried taking a pic but my camara is screwing up..

That's a very hard date to find on an #837.
End of the run for ALL late production Hi-horse cars,so price was extraordinary.
If there are more out there,you can bet the owners are emailing those bidders to offer one to them right now.
