Guys thanks for the compliments. As good as Geoff is at writing he did miss the L78 statement in the "At a glance" box at the end of the article. It should be stated it is the original L35 engine. Unlike the Gibb/Harrell Novas is that there were not any solid lifter 396 Camaros in 68 with the TH400, at least none have been found. So you are correct about the original 3.08 gearset not being behind an L78.
