Back in the day, my brother's friend had a new '68 Firebird 400/4-speed. He took it to the local Pontiac tuning guru and had that car running hard. I was 12 and it was the my first "real" ride

-----As far as I know Jess still races at nostalgia events out west. Hes an institution out there. Used to make headers, I believe. He has had a fascinating drag history that Ill bet some of the Cal. guys can fill in a bit.
