Charlie, what an odd coincidence. The Dec '88 SC that I dug out with the Royal Plum L78 also has a color feature on your red/red Z/28.

At that time it was the rare single-4 bbl version though :-O

Sam I just picked up the current Old Car Trader at Wawa. On page 88 there's a complete X-Ram set-up, carbs, linkage etc. for $14,000.00. I never knew they were that expensive. The guy is located in North Carolina.

Quick trim tag question..on a 69 Z-28...when the date code is 09D....how do you know if it's refering to Sept of 1968 or Sept of 1969? By the EXCLUSION of an 'X' code?

'69 VIN sequencing started at 500001 at both plants so a Sept '68 built '69 will have a low VIN. By Sept '69 VINs were in the N680000+ range.
