A lotta people have always wondered what happened to that hemi Daytona. The rumor I heard was that the body shell was acid dipped a little too long and caved in on itself in the acid dip tank and was scrapped. Anyone else have any info?

![]() Guess I'm watching Two Lane again tonight. I'm just saying that guy looks scary; even if I had a car that would beat him, would I do it? |

While we're on the topic of legendary street racers and their rides, how about "Brookyln Heavy" and his Motion Camaro? Anyone got some vintage pics?

Big Willie is a living legend among street racers. That is him in the opening minutes of Two-Lane Blacktop flagging the cars off with hand-held lights. One of his Daytonas is still around in rough, unrestored condition and is still displayed with one of the original street racing brotherhood jackets. Quite a thrill to see in person. I'll try to find photos.

Mark, the "starter" in the opening scene wasn't Big Willie, it was another member of the Brotherhood of Street Racers named "Mousey". If you look back at the first post with the photo of the American Racing rims ad, you'll recognize him second from the left (with the glasses). I actually heard he passed away recently. Big Willie was in the film, though. He was racing his King Daytona (as you already know).
