Came across a dated "DF" wheels today, does anybody know the difference beteen the dated (with the smaller "df") and the non dated version that has a larger font size??

That wheel is for a '68 Z and has a slightly different offset than a '67 wheel. You should find a date inside of all DF wheels which will help you determine the application. The large Upside down DF with no date is an early '67 Z wheel...which I'll buy if it's for sale

The earliest that I have seen dated at the valve stem was March.

The earlier DF wheels were not dated at the valve stem and didn't have a DF stamp there either. Mine are dated March '67 on the inside, without a DF stamp. Originally,I didn't think they were DF wheels, but they were verified by Jerry MacNeish.

Some were and some weren't. I may still have a pic of my March dated DF's (at the valve stem) in original paint. I'll post one if I can find it.
