Thinking of dropping a new LS7 small block vette motor in any comments?

If I was you Sam, I would slide that original #'s matching 302 back in your Z. Since you are totally dismantling the car for the restoration, and I am sure you will be fully detailing it in every way, it would be a great time to make that Z of yours 100% numbers matching again. Of course this is JMO.

Its always been a day 2 and I will never sell it so I can drop the 302 in anytime so at this point she's going to remain day 2 but well see. I appreciate the opinions and comments good or bad thats why Im putting it all up on the board here for everyone.

BTW, Rich painted both my 69 Z11 and my 70 Hemi Charger. He does very nice work. If I could only get some more funding I'd already have my 72 T/A over there.

Sam,
This article will give you an idea what it takes, as you probably know the LS motor is not a drop-in.

PS Steve Heino does good work if you want to bring your car out to the Portland area...
