Good points Eric. We have paperwork showing a wheel change by Robert Chev. on a deuce. So, maybe the selling dealer installed the wheels on this camaro, but Yenko would install what the customer wanted.

Jim talked to Loyd, the orig owner. He invited him to visit this site. He bought the Mags at a local speed shop. The Yenko came new with Rally Wheels. He does not remember the brand of mag.

Good work Charley. I'm not boasting about my car, but there were many '69 Camaros that were raced when new. Mine has 977 original miles; not a Yenko or COPO, but still a X22 350 horse stick. As for new 1/4s on "The Gambler".....don't know when they were installed, but likely the restorer thought it was the best thing to do. In hindsight, repairing the originals would've been preferable. Very cool car and the best years (IMO) of drag racing. Those cars had character, neat names and were easily identified by fans in the stands (unlike any of today's classes other than Stock and Super Stock). Thanks for the pictures and info.

I wish I were alive for the days of colorful drag names. I just caught the tail end of it in the funny car class in the late 70's at englishtown
