Copo Body Numbers

The COPO's were built in batches. Vin's were assigned as the orders came in. The body #'s were designated as they were put in order to be built. If you notice, most body's #'s to a certain dealer or area are sequential. When they got to the end of the line, there would be a batch ready to go to the certain dealer or zone, so they did not get a back log of cars waiting to go to all different parts of the country.

[/ QUOTE ] Hey Pete it was nice to meet you and your family at SC8....A friends car that was sold out of Frost Chevrolet(body # 298357) and my car that is out of Funston Chevrolet(body# 293349) are one vin# off from each other but 5008 apart with there body numbers. Is there a chance that your white car could have been in the same batch??
