sam, that is an awesome idea. I would like to see all the car magazines do a feature about this problem. It would atleast keep some new ebayers or new collector car buyers from getting ripped off. But there is no way ebay can keep track of who owns what car. Roger

on occasion i will broker a car for friends. I have been approached with scam buyers, with a (fake) cashiers check for more than the car, then they want the car AND the difference in cash. I did contact the FBI........Response ..... no time for internet related scams because they have hundreds a week reported......that is why they run rampant.
I personally think the only answer is vigilanti style outing of their scheme or hasselling of these pond scum. ![]() by the way Colin has had some of his cars (pics) highjacked and then put on ebay. when i spotted one i contacted the guy he said the car was in Italy (of course i had seen it 2 weeks prior in Mil.) I emailed him that that was perfect as I worked for the CIA and would be in Italy in 2 weeks.......never heard from him again..... i wonder why ![]() |
